Camp Carefree Cookout 2025

July 9 – Our club hosted its annual cookout for campers and volunteers at Camp Carefree in Stokesdale, NC, during Spina Bifida week. Hot dogs, burgers, baked beans, fruit, and more. We had the help of nine incredible Key Club volunteers…

They helped decorate the pavilion, prep glow sticks, welcome campers, and serve food to ~60 campers. Thankfully, the storm blew over just in time to eat, and everyone had a great time! Kiwanis was also able to present a check to Camp Carefree to support their continued work with children with chronic illnesses.
